~Henry VerHage, Class of 2027

I woke up at 7:00 this morning and something felt weird but I couldn’t quite place my finger on it.

“Hmm,” I thought to myself. Anyway I just went back to my normal morning routine; change into the dress code, brush teeth, get my bag ready, have breakfast and go outside to wait for the bus.

When I was changing, my pants felt really small. Weird right!? Well at least nothing was wrong when I brushed my teeth. As I was going down the hall to get my backpack I heard a loud thumping noise. “Odd,” I said to myself. I heard the same noise when I was collecting my folder, filling up my water bottle and getting my snack.

I was in a rush to have breakfast today. I never realized how much time I spent thinking about how weird my morning is going. I realized why everything is so odd when I put my shoes on, or tried to put my shoes on. My legs and feet turned into elephant legs and feet! Plus, when I bent over to put my shoes on my pants ripped. I guess I won’t be going to school today.            *not the real date

Today I have an 8:00 a.m hockey game. When my alarm went off, the door was on the left. That’s funny, I thought it was always on the right.

When I got to get dressed the dresser was moved to a different wall! What kind of trick is my family trying to pull on me?

I went out the door of my room and the stairs are facing away from me! Huh, they’re normally facing towards my room. When I go down stairs my friend and his family are waiting for me.

I feel a click in my brain and I remember I’m at a sleepover at my friends house. But something is still wrong.

After we eat waffles we go outside and play on his rink. Wait, he has a rink? I don’t remember that.

When we were done we realized we locked ourselves out so we had to go in through the front door. That’s when it hit me, he moved. I must have been so sleepy last night I didn’t realize.
